Celebrate the holiday season with this action/adventure musical about the French Revolution and the battle for Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. A love story that is funny as well as inspiring, moving and passionate. At the peak of the French Revolution, a beautiful French actress falls in love with an English lord after a whirlwind courtship. The actress’ former lover, a revolutionary official, is furious. On the night she is to leave for England and marriage, he blackmails her into giving him secret information. When the groom hears of his bride’s responsibility for the deaths of many, he persuades his compatriots to join him in a “private war” against the French regime. They call themselves The League of the Scarlet Pimpernel and work to save as many innocent lives as they can.
