Apple Rose Tart
I’ve been experimenting Apple Rose Tarts of late. Ran across this idea while researching some new recipes, both for the next cookbook and to expand out the Chanticleer’s breakfast repertoire.
This tart pictured here is with a pecan-date crust using red delicious apples. It has appealing presentation, is very tasty, and is far more healthy than it looks. All three great criteria for a recipe.
There’s a catch however. When assembling these tarts, it does take a little time. It’s not difficult, but the time adds up if doing a tart times 12!
Thus apple rose tarts will be served when there are a few guests in the house. You will have a better chance to taste this tart if you stay on Sunday or Monday night, or during the low-season.
