Classic Albums Live: Hotel California
“Hotel California” A Valentine’s Day treat for lovers of classic rock!
One of the greatest albums of all time, Hotel California, will be performed in its entirety — track-by-track and note-for-note — by a stellar band featuring some of the best rock musicians in the business.
This super group makes no attempt to impersonate the Eagles. They just perform the Eagles’ music with consummate artistry and authenticity. The second half of the show highlights the Eagles’ greatest hits, including: “Take it Easy,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” and ”Desperado.”

VocaPeople at the Craterian
VocaPeople an a capella group at the Craterian
This internationally renowned vocal ensemble takes the art of a capella singing into the stratosphere.
But then that’s only natural: they claim to be extraterrestrials from a planet where people communicate exclusively through music. Whatever their origin (rumor has it they’re actually from Israel), Voca People produces a truly intergalactic sound by melding soaring vocals and beat-box wizardry. You’ve never seen or heard anything like them!

“Pompadour” plays three weekends starting January 19th, produced by Ashland Contemporary Theater, at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way.
Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm, from Jan. 19 thru Feb. 3.
Tickets: Regular admission: $15 Senior/student, $12.
Tickets can be bought at Paddington Station in Ashland, and Grocery Outlet in Medford, as well as online on the ACT website, by credit card thru Paypal.
Ashland Contemporary Theater presents the play as though you were a guest at the tiny private theater in Versailles — which means seating is limited. ADVANCE PURCHASE is recommended.
Voltaire called Mme Pompadour a “soul born sincere,” “with good sense,” and “justice in her heart.”
Tinsley’s play begins at the end, when Pompadour has had a potentially fatal confrontation with the King’s latest young lover. As she clings to life in her chambers at Versailles, she begins to make sense of her own. Read More
Nordic Ski Weekend at Mt. Shasta
Mt. Shasta Nordic Ski Weekend
Southern Oregon Nordic Ski Club is hosting its “annual” ski weekend at Mt. Shasta.
Save the weekend of January 11–13, 2013. Edgar & Karen are planning the somewhat annual Mt. Shasta Nordic Ski Weekend with details to come.
The traditional Mt. Shasta weekend can be a full 3-day outing or a one-day event. Your choice, with the big “wine and cheese” after ski gathering and dinner on Saturday January 12th.
While past Mt. Shasta events have been postponed or canceled because of too much snow, or too little snow, we are planning, or at least wishing, for a Mama Bear amount of snow this season.
Check with Edgar & Karen Hee 541 734‑4872, for information and details.
